The Summit Emergency Communications Center brings together key emergency response services to a central location, anchored by a state-of-the-art dispatch center serving Boston Heights, Cuyahoga Falls, Fairlawn, Mogadore, Munroe Falls, Silver Lake, Stow, Tallmadge as well as the Summit County Sheriff’s Office and Summit Metro Parks.
By collaborating on a centralized communications center, the communities are better equipped to maintain high-quality service and upgrade equipment, while driving down costs.

With three shifts, the SECC Dispatch Center provides around the clock support to police, fire, and EMS across Summit County.
High-Vision Monitors
Our dispatch center features high-vision monitors which assist in providing key information to the dispatch team in extreme weather or during special events.
Customizable Stations
Each dispatch station comes with climate control, adjustable height desks, and ergonomically designed chairs to help maintain focus.

Dispatch Training Academy
The fully-equipped, state-of-the-art dispatch training academy will be used to ensure all dispatchers are ready to handle incoming calls efficiently and effectively.

Staff can relax during their breaks in our large break room which features ample storage, refrigerators, stove & microwave.
Private Relaxation Rooms
Dispatchers can utilize our private relaxation rooms when they need time to recharge.
Fitness Center
Our fitness center is equipped with free weights, a multi-function strength training machine, an elliptical, and a treadmill.

Public Safety Training Conference Rooms
The SECC features two conference rooms—which can be opened up to make one large room—to facilitate key public safety training sessions. In addition to training, the conference rooms can quickly transform into an emergency center headquarters.

The Akron 800MHZ Regional Radio System provides mission-critical voice and data communications to public safety, public works, government, and transportation users in Summit County.
